Smoke Rise Country Club

Smoke Rise Country Club, designed by Gary Roger Baird, is located just outside the Atlanta Perimeter in the shadows of Stone Mountain. This 18-hole, championship golf course is well-wooded and all golfers will enjoy the scenic beauty that the numerous glistening ponds and trickling creeks provide throughout their round. Many types of wildlife call Smoke Rise home, so don’t be surprised if you see wild turkeys, deer and an array of birds before you make your approach shot.

This is a great track that could be outstanding...other recent comments are accurate.

Great course. Very difficult with demanding tee shots. I do have one complaint and a guest even approached maintenance about this....the greens are very slow and bumpy. Guest asked when they were cut last and were told it had been 2 days. Went back the next day and asked someone about this and given same answer....they were cut 3 days ago but were double rolled. I am sure this is a cost saving measure but with Bermuda greens it is very easy to get bumpy if not maintained daily. Pull the people off of weed whacking focus on the greens. With this being said If the greens were smooth and fast the course could almost be unplayable to an average golfer since the green are very undulating.

Greens are quick, good, and challenging. Condition of the course could improve (cart paths. Overall very good test. Fairways are undulating and very narrow on several holes. Nice Clubhouse facilities.
